Encourage useful insects to stay in your garden by assembling a house for them!
Or maybe you know someone who has a small plot or garden? Such a house can be a great gift!
Thanks to the use of various nest materials, the house can attract bees and other beneficial insects:
- nesting in the empty stems of a reed,
- boring tunnels in stems with a soft core,
- nesting in holes in wood,
- seeking shelter in various nooks (ladybirds and other).
Placing the house in the garden will positively affect the pollination of flowers and also reduce the amount of pests.
The house for useful insects should be installed 1-2 meters above the ground
- drilled pieces of wood
- soft core stems
- height 25 cm,
- width 20 cm,
- depth 12 cm.
The house is painted with a wood impregnate that is harmless to insects.
The lower part of the house is secured with a net that will prevent from distroying the nests by the birds.
