Hotel for insects, size M

Hotel for insects was created for people who wish to welcome pollinators in their garden, orchard or plantation. It can hold up to 35 BioDar nesting trays (which provide up to 700 nesting channels for insects e.g osmia rufa - Mason Bee).It is also possible to equip it with bound reeds, wooden logs with drilled holes, touchwood or other nesting materials as long as 20 cm (which is longer than majority of the available insect hotels).

We offer many sizes of insect hotels:
- size S: holds up to 20 nesting trays (400 nests), internal height 16,5 cm,
- size M: holds up to 35 nesting trays (700 nests - 1 set, appropriate for e.g. 0.5 ha of apple orchard), internal height 28,5 cm,
- size L: holds up to 50 nesting trays (1000 nests), internal height 40,5 cm.

Nests are not included, but are available for purchase in our shop.

Adventages:
- the box is made entirely of wood, constructed with solid and durable elements of 2 cm thickness,
- equipped with hinged front doors and protective net against insectivorous birds and rodents,
- door lock against accidental self-opening,
- equipped with mounting bracket that enables mounting on the wall, tree or pole,
- equipped with 2 retractable hooks (on the bottom side of the hotel) serving for mounting of BioDar hatching cassette with cocoons,
- equipped with tin roof, protruding from the front and sides of the hotel, providing shelter against rain for both hotel and nests.

• depth 23 cm (with roof - 30 cm).

Internal dimensions:

• height 28,5 cm,
• width 26 cm,
• depth 20 cm.

Finishing: 
Hotels for insects are secured with varnish in order to protect them against adverse climatic and habitat conditions (high humidity, microbiological decomposition).

Colour options:
pine (transparent varnish) or brown.
